Intersport Austria is the country's leading sports retailer with over 280 locations and approximately 4,000 employees. The challenge: how to implement a modern continuous improvement process (CIP) across a decentralized organization of 104 independent dealers?
The solution was the Idea Hub — an internal platform where every employee can submit improvement suggestions, from store associates to management. Ideas are submitted through a simple form and then opened for company-wide voting. Once an idea reaches a defined number of likes, it triggers predefined implementation workflows.
Building on this success, a second platform emerged: the CRM Hub. Here, store employees can submit ideas and proposals for marketing campaigns and coordinate across locations. Both platforms were built on WordPress within Intersport's existing infrastructure, connected to their internal authentication via Active Directory integration.
