WKBG — Digital Communication for Vienna's Development Bank

The Wiener Kreditbürgschafts- und Beteiligungsbank AG (WKBG) has been Vienna's dedicated development bank for SMEs since 1970. Through credit guarantees and silent partnerships, it has enabled over 3,200 companies to access financing and secured more than 25,000 jobs. The bank is backed by the City of Vienna, the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, and six of Austria's largest banks.

The challenge: communicating a 55-year-old institution rooted in traditional banking in a contemporary way without sacrificing credibility. We supported WKBG's digital communication on multiple levels — from the website as a central hub for entrepreneurs to a professional newsletter system to high-quality print materials. Creative campaigns, including elaborately designed Christmas cards and special formats, demonstrate that institutional reliability and contemporary design are not mutually exclusive.

The result is a presence that conveys WKBG's core values — dependability, proximity to Viennese businesses, fast decision-making — while feeling fresh and approachable.
